On September 18, 2025, seven participants successfully completed the Palliative Care Expert Nurse Training Course.
This course is part of the “Training Program for Next-Generation Health Professionals with Cancer Care in Kyushu”, and is held annually in October for clinical nurses, with the aim of enhancing their knowledge and skills in palliative care.
Over a two-month period, the program provided lectures and workshops on End-of-Life Care. Nine months later, on September 18, a practical report session was held, allowing participants to present how they applied their learning in clinical practice.
The participants shared a wide range of case studies, including support for cancer patients receiving informed consent regarding diagnosis or recurrence, decision-making assistance for end-of-life patients, and efforts to alleviate side effects during chemotherapy. These presentations led to meaningful discussions that will contribute to the advancement of future palliative care practice.
Upon completion of the course, participants were awarded the title of “Palliative Care Expert Nurse” and received a certificate of completion.
We sincerely wish the graduates continued success in their future endeavors.
