血液免疫検査学分野とは

検査技術コースの一分野として、臨床検査技師に必須の知識、技能である血液免疫学の講義、実習を担当しています。臨床血液学、臨床免疫学の実習では、実際の臨床の現場で活躍する臨床検査技師を講師として招聘し、より実践に即した技術指導を行っています。
また卒業研究では、血液内科学、その中でも沖縄県に好発する成人T細胞白血病･リンパ腫（ATL）に関する分子生物学的研究を主に行っています。当教室には留学生も在籍し、さらに東南アジア・アフリカでのフィールドワークを展開しており、グローバルな視点で医療を考える機会も提供しています。これらの教育、研究活動を通して、広い視野を持ち沖縄県の医療を担う検査技師、および保健医療人材を育成しています。

長い医師としての臨床経験を基に、臨床に直結した知識を盛り込みながら、血液学、免疫学に関する基礎知識、検査技術の習得を目指します。

• ATLはヒトT細胞白血病ウイルスI型（HTLV-1）を原因ウイルスとする血液悪性腫瘍です。HTLV-1キャリアは沖縄に多く、ATLも好発しています。ATLは治癒が困難な難治性の疾患です。当教室ではATLの治療成績の向上を目指した臨床研究、病態解明を目指した分子生物学的研究を行っています。

臨床経験に基づいた講義、また臨床の現場で活躍する検査技師さんを招聘しての実習を通して、より実践的なスキルを身に付けることが出来る教育を心掛けています。そして卒業研究では、沖縄県に多いHTLV-1、ATLの研究に携わり、沖縄地域社会に横たわる医療問題にも理解を深めていきます。さらに留学生との交流を通して、グローバルな視点を養うことも目指しています。
当教室の卒業生の多くが、血液専門検査技師として、沖縄県の血液検査のリーダーとして地域医療を牽引しています。
